Konrady Plastics plans to hire 14 more workers after doubling its space to 49,000-square-feet in Portage.
The privately held manufacturer of machined plastic parts for factories will add 24,000 square feet onto its existing 25,000-square-foot facility. About 35 people already work at Konrady, which is also a local distributor of plastic sheet, rod and tube material.
Konrady Plastics will invest an estimated $3 million in its plant at 1780 Coppes Court during the next four years. State-of-the-art CNC machining equipment will be added. Konrady last expanded in 2010, when it did a 6,500-square-foot building expansion.
